Selection Procedure | Coast Guard Navik GD CGEPT 2024
The selection process will be conducted in 4 Stages. Final selection will be done on All India merit basis, which also includes physical standards and medical examination. before commencement of each stage, Identity check will be performed as below:
Live Image Capture during Registration – Candidate has to upload the latest photograph, and this photograph should match the facial features of the live image captured during registration. And this real time facial features should match with the facial features of all the Four Stages of examination.
Biometric – Left thumb biometric will be captured at each stage. Should take care and avoid Mehendi, Wax etc. to give proper fingerprint image to the Biometric machine.
Signature – As uploaded at the time of registration
Identification Mark – As mentioned during registration
The details of various stages of CGEPT are as follows:
Stage- I (Computer Based Examination):
The exam will be conducted as per the dates given above.
Stage- II:
Shortlisted candidates will be issued E-Admit Card. Stage II involves following”
(i) Assessment/Adaptability Test: OMR based Written Test
(ii) Physical Fitness Test: 1.6KM run in 7 mins, 20 Squat Ups (Uthak Baithak), 10 Push Ups (in continuity without break. Candidates are required to bring Shoes, Tshirt, Trouser.
(iii) Document Verification: All information provided at the time of Registration should match with the Original documents at time of verification.
(iv) Recruitment Medical Examination: The medical officer will assess the candidates as per medical standards
Stage- III:
The candidates shortlisted so far in Stage-I and Stage-II, will be provisionally shortlisted for training at INS Chilka.
(i) Document Verification (Provisionally ‘Pass’ or ‘Fail’): O
(ii) Pre-enrolment Medicals at INS Chilka:
(iii) Submission of Original Documents, Police Verification and Other Associated Forms.
Stage- IV:
Final, submission of Original Documents as mentioned in Stage III.
CGEPT 2024: How to Apply / Form Filling & Application Process:
The applicant must read carefully the detailed notification before applying for the job. The candidate must have valid mobile number and Email Id. Make sure all relevant required documents are available and ready with you.

Step #2: The candidate need to check eligible qualification as per the required qualification for the post. They must check the Notification carefully and follow the timelines given in Job Short details in IndiaWebInfo.com website in Sarkari Jobs section.
Step #3: Documents are required to be uploaded in 2 Phases. Few documents are required to be uploaded at the time of registration online application. While few documents are required to be uploaded once shortlisted for Stage II.
Documents to be uploaded at time of Online Application/Registration:
– Recent Passport size Photograph
– Live Image Capture during Registration
– Scanned Signature image
– Date of Birth proof (Class 10th marksheet OR Birth Certificate)
– Identity proof (Aadhar Card OR PAN Card OR Voter ID card OR Driving
License OR Passport)
– Service Certificate/ NOC if candidate is serving ICG Personnel or ICG civilian
– A valid Domicile Certificate (Not a Resident Certificate) is to be uploaded by all the candidates to determine the region of candidate for region wise recruitment
Documents to be uploaded if Shortlisted for Stage II:
Category Certificate {SC/ST/OBC(Non-Creamy layer)/EWS}.
– Class 10th marksheet
– Class 10th certificate
– Additional mark sheet for Class 10th (if applicable)
– Formula for conversion of CGPA/ Grade into percentage of Class 10th (if
applicable).
– NOC from Govt Organization if the candidate is employed. NOC should be
dated on or after the date of filling application.
– Class 12th marksheet.
– Class 12th certificate.
– Formula for conversion of CGPA/Grade into percentage of Class 12th (if
applicable).
– Additional marksheet of Class 12th (if applicable).
Step #4: Candidates (except SC/ST candidates, who are exempted from payment
of fee) are required to pay a fee of Rs. 300/- through online mode by using net banking or by using Credit/Debit Card/UPI. The candidate is to give five preferences for examination city in the application for Stage-I & II process.
Step #5: Here you have to proceed with the Payment step. After completing the Online payment the PAR (Payment Acknowledgement Receipt) will be displayed. Click on Print payment Receipt and take a print of the receipt.
Step #6: Check the filled form carefully and take printout of receipt and form which may need to be produced later.
