The Polytechnic course fees can vary depending on the category (General/OBC/EWS/SC/ST). Government Polytechnics:

The fee structure including everything for 1st year Post SSC diploma courses, can vary between Rs. 10,136/- for General category, and Rs. 7,136/- for OBC, and Rs. 4,136/- for SC/ST category.

And for Direct Second Year Students applied after 12th, who got admission to direct second year, the fee structure is around Rs. 15,916/- for General category, and Rs. 12,916/- for OBC, and Rs. 9,916/- for SC/ST category.

Polytechnic Courses duration

Polytechnic courses are 3 Year long Diploma certificate courses. These are semester based, dual semester per year that is total 6 semesters. A mandatory final year project which is to be submitted before the 6th semester exams. They are approved by Directorate of Technical Education. There are many Government polytechnics which offers these courses through All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE).
