Who is eligible for Ayushman card

Government has set some eligibility criteria based on which only the eligible individuals are allowed to apply for Ayushman Bharat Card. The PMJAY scheme covers families identified as per the Socio-Economic and Caste Census (SECC) data. The Ayushman card which is covered under Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana PMJAY, is aimed at delivering free of cost medical treatments and health care benefits to the economically weaker sections of the society. How to make Ayushman card

You can make Ayushman Card with an online Registration process. To complete this Registration you need to have some documents to verify your eligibility. How to get Ayushman Bharat card – Stages Explained

The process of getting Ayushman Bharat card and subsequently taking medical treatments and healthcare benefits involves many stages explained below:

Stage #1: Check your Eligibility

One should check for eligibility by visiting either the Common Service Centre (CSC) or Health Care Unit or any PMJAY Empanelled Hospital, where you can get checked your eligibility.

Stage #2: Validation in Beneficiary Identification System (BIS)

You need to search your SECC Name, Mobile Number or Family ID or House Hold ID (HHD number), if your Family is listed in SECC data, than you can directly proceed for Applying for Ayushman card.

Stage #3: e-KYC Verification

Here, you have to complete e-KYC step which will be done with the help of Aadhaar. On successful verification, your application will be approved.

Stage #4: Golden Card Generation

Once approved, a family identification number called as Golden Record number will be generated for your family.

Stage #5: Ayushman Card

You can download your Ayushman card for your family with the golden record number.

Stage #6: Hospitalization/Treatment

If anyone in your family needs medical treatment, they can visit any empanelled hospitals that is affiliated with PMJAY Ayushman Bharat Scheme.

Stage #7: Verification at Hospital

Provide your family’s Ayushman card and Golden Record Number along with HHD or Aadhaar. The Ayushman Mitra at hospital will help you with this verification.

Stage #8: Medical Treatment

Now you can have medical treatment and procedures covered under the scheme, at free of cost.

Stage #9: Discharge

After treatment, the patient will be discharged with proper documentation. You don’t have to pay anything. If there is any heath care expenses that is not covered under the scheme, than you have to pay for that. This, you can check with the hospital after the treatment.

Stage #8: Reimbursement

The documentation of the treatment and the patients record will be sent to the Ayushman Bharat authorities, and they will get reimbursement directly from the authorities.

All families covered under PMJAY Ayushman Bharat Scheme has been provided with 5 lacs of medical coverage upto Rs. 5,00,00/- lakhs per year per family. And after treatment, the total cost of the treatment will be deducted from this 5 lakhs coverage balance. This balance you can check by logging in to the PMJAY official portal.

How to use Ayushman card in hospital

Visit the PMJAY affiliated hospital with your family’s Ayushman Card with Golden Record Number, along with HHID or Aadhaar. At the hospital, you can meet with Ayushman Mitra and check for the treatments and procedures that you require, whether they are covered under the scheme or not. If your Ayushman Card is Inactive you need to do e-KYC authentication at the hospital for Ayushman Card activation.

On successful authentication, you can receive medical treatments free of cost from the empanelled hospital, that are covered by the Ayushman Bharat scheme. The ayushman card is limited to 3days of pre hospitalization charges and 15 days of post-treatment hospitalization charges. There maybe some charges and facilities that are not covered by the scheme.
