What is UP Family ID?
A Family ID is a 12 Digit unique identification number issued to family of Uttar Pradesh who are not ration card holders. The families who are having ration card, than their Ration card number will be their Family ID. This “UP Family ID Registration” will create a database of all UP state’s families and their members. This database will be used to deliver all the benefits and facilities effectively and directly to the eligible members of these families.
UP Family ID – Ek Parivar Ek Pahchan
Ek Parivar Ek Pahchan Scheme is an effort from UP government to deliver the benefits and perks of various schemes/yojana and facilities directly to the families in the UP state. There is a registration portal, where the registration or enrolment is on voluntary basis. After the registration, the portal provides a 12 Digit unique ID to the Family. Those families who are ration card holders, they don’t need to apply. Their ration card number will be their UP Family ID and they can check on the registration portal.
This UP Family ID is a program launch with a vision to make the Family ID a powerful medium to provide most of the benefits of schemes and services to the deserving and eligible beneficiaries and improve their access to government systems. This program will provide clear view of all families in the state who are eligible but unable to take the benefits due to some reasons.
UP Family ID Registration – Process Details
Registration for: UP Family ID Ek Parivar Ek Pahchan Scheme
- The UP Family ID registration is a voluntary self enrolment process. Where non-ration card holders are requested to register their families on the registration portal, link given below.

- The UP Family ID registered families will be assigned with a 12-Digit Unique Identification number.
- All members of the family should have Aadhaar card, its mandatory.
- Each member of the family, should have a mobile number linked with their Aadhaar card. e-KYC will be done through OTP verification where Aadhaar linked mobile number is required.
- Those who are Ration card holders does not need to apply for Family ID. Their Ration card number will be their Family ID.
- After registration, everyone can individually enter their Aadhaar number and download or print their Family ID.
- Person who is already registered with a family, cannot register again with any other family.
- During registration process, you are requested to fill all the information correctly, so that verification can be done easily without any rejections or errors.
- After registration, you will get an Application Number. You can use this application number to track the application status of your Family ID Registration process

UP Family ID 2024 Eligibility
- There is no any Age limit for UP Family ID Registration. Anybody can register, No matter what is his/her age.
- UP Family ID Registration is an online process. All families and residents of Uttar Pradesh are eligible to register. Every single person in a family can register voluntarily.
Purpose & Benefits of UP Family ID
Many benefits associated with schemes and services like Scholarships, Pension, Benefits to labours, Samman Nidhi/Subsidies to Farmers, Kanya Sumangala Yojana, Food grain procurements by Farmers, Kaushal Vikas, Rojgaar Sangam, PRERNA (Students of Basic Education) etc. which comes under Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT). In such DBT schemes and initiatives the funds are transferred directly to the beneficiary’s bank accounts.
Many departments of UP government have already started seeding or linking Aadhaar number to their databases. This will help in eliminating bogus and fake beneficiaries from taking the benefits, and this will help in serving more of the deserving beneficiaries by the system. Instructions to Apply for UP Family ID Registration
Step #1: Visit the following link, and start the application process by entering your Name and Mobile number. This mobile number should be linked with your Aadhaar card.

Step #2: In the Next step your mobile number will receive an OTP for verification. Enter the correct OTP to register your name and number in the system.
Step #3: In the Next Step, you have to again login to the system and enter the Aadhaar number, and verify this with OTP. After OTP verification, the system will auto fetch the user details and display on screen.
Step #4: Now, the person has to add the details of all the family members like Father, Mother, Husband, Wife, Brother, Sister, Son, Daughter, and other family members. All the details should be added about the family members and verified through their individual Aadhaar card number and OTP verification.
Step #5: After adding all the family details, you need to add the address where your family resides. The verification process will be done at this address.
Step #6: Check all the information and details on the preview, and complete the registration process. After successful registration, the screen will show a Unique Family ID with an application number.
This application number can be used to track their application status on the ‘UP Family ID’ portal. Once registered, applicants can not edit or change anything later. After this you can download your Family ID card/details using your Family ID. This is one of the important government documents that will help many families in the UP state.
