How to Register for AICTE Internship?
The process of registration for AICTE Internship is as follows:
Step #1: Visit the AICTE Internship Portal:

How to fill AICTE Internship form?
Step #2: Select User type as “STUDENT” and below that you will find 2 options to select from:
🔘 AICTE Affiliated Organisation (Diploma/Engineering/MBA)
🔘 Non-AICTE (UGC/ IGNOU / Other)
If your Institute is AICTE affiliated you can directly select first option where a popup will appear you can type your institute name to search and once you find your institute select it. The remaining details like Institute Permanent ID, Type, HOI Name and Region, all will get auto filled. Select the check box for “I confirm the above details are correct”
In case, your institute is not affiliated with AICTE than you have to select the second option for Non-AICTE (UGC/IGNOU/Other) institutes.
Step #3: Now, you have to fill all the Personal details, Student ID (Enrolment Number), Email, Aadhaar Number, create password, etc.
Step #4: Now, select security question, last passed course and percentage, as asked in the registration form. check the captcha box. And finally click the Register button.
What is Student ID in AICTE Internship?
The Student ID that is asked in AICTE Registration form is different than AICTE Student Registration ID which is generated after you register on AICTE website as shown in the screenshot below:
The Student ID is probably your last institute Enrollment Number, this you have to fill carefully by checking with your Institute’s TPO or any seniors.
How to Apply for AICTE Internship?
After successful registration on AICTE Internship portal as explained above, you need to login using your email id and password. After logging in you will see different options in the left side as shown in the above screenshot. From there you can see different government internships and private internships. There is also a Application management tab from there you can see which internships you have applied to.
How to change email id in AICTE Internship?
You have to login using your email id and password on AICTE Internship portal. On the left hand side, you will see a menu and from there you have to go to your Profile section. In your Profile section you will see all your details, like Name, Avatar Image, Student Registration ID, Student ID (Enrolment Number), Category, Email, nationality, etc.
As shown in the above screenshot you will see there is an Edit button on the top, clicking on the Edit button will allow you to change few of the details only. From here you can change your email ID and contact details, etc.
Who can apply for AICTE Internship?
All students who are studying B.E. / B. Tech or M.E./ M. Tech or MCA or diploma programs from polytechnic institutions can apply for AICTE Internship. The students applying for Internship, have to commit 2 to 6 months. All students from any branch or year are eligible to apply.
What to write in about yourself in AICTE Internship?
After registering on the AICTE Internship portal, you have to write about yourself which will be displayed in your Profile section. Here you can write a brief about yourself:
Section #1: Introduce yourself (Your Name and Course and Passing year)
Section #2: Write about your interest and career goal.
Section #3: Write about your skills, strengths, experiences and accomplishments.
Section #4: Discuss your future goals and plans related to your profession. End with your expectations.
