Position Overview:
The selected candidates will be responsible for the maintenance of the fire safety systems like fire alarms, sprinklers, etc. within the company premises. Safety and functionality of such fire safety equipments will be their top priority. The job also involves timely inspections and preventive maintenance to comply with the industry standards. The technicians should play critical role in being prepared for any such fire hazard or emergency and should co-ordinate with other departments to avoid uncertainties.
Key Responsibilities: Facility Maintenance Technician Fire Fighting
- Fire Safety System Maintenance: Self-checks and inspections of fire alarms, fire extinguishers, sprinkler systems, and other fire protection equipment and systems.
- Preventive Maintenance: A certain check should be made daily or weekly to determine the all the fire fighting systems and notice that they are in good working condition and have complied a certain standard measures.
- Troubleshooting and Repairs: Detect several problems which may be present with fire safety systems and perform routine maintenance and other related repairs if needed.
- Compliance and Documentation: Make sure that all the maintenance processes performed in the facility are in compliance with the national and international safety requirements. This means that, all types of inspections, repairs, or any other event that may have occurred need to be documented.
- Emergency Response Support: Help in the process of developing and implementation of procedures for emergencies involving emergency fire-fighting equipment for use in critical situations.
- Coordination with Other Departments: Comply with safety procedures set by the organization’s management team and promptly submit reports on any injuries or other mishaps that occurred during maintenance-related work.
- Training and Guidance: Teach other members of staff concerning the use and care of fire safety equipment that is available.
